As the weather gets warmer, nights get longer, and skin gets darker, hair tends to get shorter… I’ve become very reminiscent of my short cut from last summer, and its definitely due to the beautiful spring weather we’ve been having on NYC.  Having a short cut was has its pros and cons, but it’ll always be one of my favorite styles ever!

Pros:

  1. No damage caused by weave
  2. LOTS of growth, really fast!
  3. Great styles

Cons

  1. Very expensive to upkeep
  2. Required lots of maintenance
  3. Styling took TOO long!

Since I couldn’t ‘wake up-n-go’ because it took really long to style my hair, I decided to go back to wearing weaves and wigs. However, I do think that sometime in the near future, I’d definitely go back to rocking a short cut!

If you haven’t already–I recommend all of you sassy ladies giving a cut a chance…. remember, it’s JUST hair!

For those of you that followed my previous blog, you know that I’ve posted this coat before. However, I’ve decided to post it on this new site because it’s one of my most liked posts and I still get lots of questions about it.. During fall 2014, I was looking everywhere for the perfect faux fur coat. My job, Abercrombie & Fitch had one but I wasn’t crazy about it. However, Abercrombie kids had THE most perfect faux fur coat, and yes, IT FIT! It was the exact color and fit that I’ve been looking for, and the price was even more amazing! Check out the outfit deets below!

Today, one of my best friend’s, Genesis and I took to the streets of SoHo, New York. For those of you that don’t know, SoHo is known for its great shopping! You can find fast fashion stores like Zara and H&M to luxury stores like Louis Vuitton and Burberry. SoHo is also known for the cobble-stoned streets! They’re absolutely beautiful, and probably my favorite thing about SoHo. Although Gen and I didn’t really coordinate our outfits, we loved our photos, so I decided to share!

Have you guys noticed the thigh high boot trend? Whether it may be gladiator sandals or boots like mine, this style is definitely making a splash! These lace up thigh high boots are my favorite accessory. You can wear them with almost anything and they add sass to almost any outfit! I definitely recommend them to all of my stylish gals, however, if your thighs are small like mine, you might want to consider taking them to a shoe-maker to have them adjusted to fit your legs. After I did that, these boots fit me 100% better and it made me fall in love with them even more. Make sure to find your pair!

Nude

Just like a lot of other New Yorkers, black is my go-to. However, I’ve been trying to add more color to my wardrobe. I’m not a fan of prints or bright colors, so when I do add color, I prefer to stick to earth tones and neutrals. To me, neutrals look a lot classier and more expensive than bright colors. (Believe it or not this outfit is very affordable)
