Grey Series

Cooler weather = cooler colors! Many of you know that I’m a black and nude enthusiast. However, I’ve been adding more colors to my wardrobe; hence the khaki via my last post. I’ve found myself more appreciative of grey tones, especially for the fall season. It’s super easy to match and style items with!

For my first look, I wanted to display a cozy yet stylish outfit for the sassy fashionista. This Missguided sweater dress is extremely warm and comfortable – everything you need in the brisk fall/winter weather. I styled this dress with my clear Perspex boots from Blink Boutique.

I remained cozy – in my second outfit – with an oversized Missguided jersey dress. I paired the dress with my Public Desire thigh high boots, which are my fav because I have skinny leg syndrome! For those of you who don’t know, it’s when boots are WAY TOO BIG for your legs because you have such skinny calves and thighs. However, Public Desire might be the holy grail for us skinny/slim gals! These boots are the best fitting boots I’ve ever had, simply because they don’t have that awkward space in the back!

To add a pop of color to both outfits, I added a yellow satchel! This satchel was actually a gift that I hadn’t worn in over a year, but with efforts to add more variety of color, I pulled it out!

I hope you guys love these looks as much as I do!

Khaki Vibes

So, guys, its senior year! It’s extremely bittersweet for me to accept the fact that I’m going to be graduating from college soon.

On one hand, I’m super excited to officially be an adult, to set my own rules 100%, and not having to worry about doing things around my class schedule.

But, on the other hand, this economy is super scary. I’ve known so many well-qualified college graduates that were unemployed for months, and that’s the last thing I want. However, I’m thinking about attending grad school, to set me aside from the crowd. But then again, just the thought of the work load scares me.

Long story short, I am going to be enjoying the heck out of my senior year. I’m definitely going to be a little reckless and enjoying the fact that I won’t have any real responsibilities!

So, for my first day back, I wore a super comfy jumpsuit/bodysuit/leotard/onesie (whatever you call it) with a plaid flannel. But, to dress it up, I wore my clear perspex boots. You can easily dress this jumpsuit and flannel look down with sneakers like I normally do when I want to dress more casually. Or, to keep the dressy look, you can wear any sort of heeled sandals!

I received lots of compliments on this look, so I hope you love it as much as I do!

Hi, Dolls! I hope you guys are doing well! I’m sorry for the long break, but unfortunately my laptop crashed so I had no way of posting. But, I’m back and I’m better!

In one of my posts a few months back, I posted that these perspex heeled boots were trending now. They’ve actually become a lot popular than I expected! Since I loved my nude pair so much, I had to get another. With these clear boots they can be worn with almost every style and color outfit. So, I decided to show you guys two ways that I style them.

I paired both looks with my perspex boots and high rise shorts. For my first outfit, I wore an off-the-shoulder top (that everyone seems to have this summer) This outfit can be worn for dressy and semi-dressy occasions.

For my second outfit, I paired the boots and high rise shorts with a white bodysuit and blazer. The blazer added a bit more comfort for me because I prefer not to be too exposed. For example, if I’m wearing something short, my top will be covered (and vice versa). This outfit can be worn for dressier occasions.

And, yes. My hair is RED!

The Switch Up

Today’s photos were taken in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, which is known for its great views of Manhattan, beautiful graffiti all over sidewalks and walls, and hidden but popular restaurants!

On a different note–you guys know, I’m more of a heels and dressy shoes type of gal. However, recently I’ve been feeling the need to switch it up more. So, I started incorporating more sneakers into my wardrobe. I know I’m a bit late, but I recently purchased the Adidas Superstar, and I love them! They’re really easy to dress up or down and they’re beyond comfy! So, I paired this look with a jersey dress, which was super easy. Dress, sneakers, and I’m ready to go!

Brunch x Perspex Heels

IMG_08191IMG_08161IMG_08361IMG_08051IMG_08401Screenshot_20160423-112148_1.jpg

So, today my friends and I decided to go to brunch at a popular rooftop lounge, 230 Fifth Avenue. We had an amazing time, despite the cloudy weather because the food was great and the view was breathtaking! Although there weren’t endless mimosas, the brunch was buffet style, which is always great! Also, 230 Fifth Ave is known for their expensive meals, but their brunch special is extremely reasonable. After brunch, we decided to go to Dallas BBQ’s for some Texas sized pina coladas! LOL. All in all, it was a great day of us catching up and having delicious food.

Trending Now: Bun & Bangs

Lately I’ve been seeing the bun & bang hairstyle a lot! It’s been around for as long as I can remember, but I’ve noticed more people with the style after Kendall Jenner rocked it at the 2015 American Music Awards. I wasn’t a huge fan of the style prior to seeing Kendall with it because most bangs were way too thick, and sharp for my liking. I loved how Kendall’s was thin and whispy!

So when it was time for a new style (as you guys know, I change my hair a lot), I thought that Kendall’s bun & bang would be perfect. I was definitely terrified because I haven’t had full front bangs since junior high school, and also because I wasn’t sure if my stylist could execute the style the way I wanted. But, as usual, my hairstylist didn’t disappoint.

Here’s Kendall’s bun & bangs:

This hairstyle definitely makes me look different, but I love it. I hope you guys like this style as much as I do!

Here’s to The End of Junior Year!

As the spring semester at FIT is winding down, I’m taking this time to reflect. My third year of college has been a serious struggle! I had so many personal issues, that my studies were affected. Although I didn’t fail any classes, or completely fall of track, this school year was definitely a lot harder than usual. The issues I faced, made focusing in school to be an extremely difficult task. But my determination helped me remain focused. Now that the semester is almost over, I couldn’t be happier. Although every college student is excited for summer recess, I’m excited that I’ve gotten my ish together! And I know that my senior year is going to be much better!

So, in honor of my reflection of the 2015-2016 school year, here are some photos from my Back to School post from the beginning of the year!

Throwback Thursday

IMG_20150922_133200IMG_20150922_133304IMG_20150922_135648

In honor of throwback Thursday, here’s a post from my previous blog . For this look, I paired my nude knee high lace up boots, with a blush-toned shirt dress. This has been one of my favorite looks because it can be worn for almost any occasion. The heels are on these boots aren’t too high, so they’re very comfortable! (and I’m all about comfort)

I hope you guys enjoyed this week’s throwback!

Favorite Coachella 2016 Fashions

Now that Coachella has come to an end, everyone, everywhere is discussing the fashions seen at the music festival. The looks below are my favorite looks from this year’s festival. From top to bottom is my least favorite to most favorite.

Screenshot_20160504-113453_1

5. Zoe Kravitz: In my eyes, she can do no wrong! I love everything about her personality and vibe and this look showed that she didn’t conform to the typical crochet crop top and short shorts.

Screenshot_20160504-114420_1

4. Streetwalker: This H&M romper is super cute and easy to manage, and was definitely perfect for Coachella!

Screenshot_20160504-113535_1

3. Alessandra Ambrosio: I’m a huge fan of Alessandra, and this is one of the reasons why! This dress gave the bohemian vibe of the festival with its slight tie-die and floral print.

Screenshot_20160504-113406_1

2. Streetwalker: Her maxi skirt is to-die-for, and I’m now on a hunt to find this skirt. What I love most about this skirt is the fact that it has ONE slit. Most maxi skirts with slits, have two slits and they’re not my favorite. Her crochet crop top is also super cute, and definitely goes with the Coachella theme!

Screenshot_20160504-111719_11. Paris Hilton: The Coachella Queen! This look literally gave me life! From the length of the dress, to the swimsuit underneath, to the lacey material, this outfit was perfectly created. But then again, nothing less is expected from the Queen of Coachella!

I hope you guys enjoyed these looks as much as I did!

Trending Now: Perspex Heel Boots

Screenshot_20160504-104644_1

Have you guys noticed the “clear” or “translucent” heel being added to some of your favorite shoes? This trend is called the Perspex heel and they are making a splash in the shoe industry! Gone are the days of boring heels and heels being worn only in the winter! These shoes are made for the riskier ladies and can be worn year round. They come in a wide array of styles from thigh high boots, gladiator heels, sandals, and booties like the ones pictured (which happens to be my favorite). Perspex boots come in various colors like clear, nude, blush, blue, grey, and black. AND, They can be styled with almost everything!

Where to find them?

PublicDesire.com has the widest selection of boots with the perspex heel. However, they can also be found at Missguided.com and ASOS.

Stay tuned for an upcoming post on how I style my Perspex boots!
